is a Japanese darkwave music duo consisting of Exo-Chika (vocals/lyrics) and Raveman (music). They hail from Tokyo, Japan and compose mainly darkwave music. Aural Vampire has toured Europe numerous times and been featured in magazines such as Astan Magazine and The Dose. During the first four years of their career, they were on an independent label.
Aural Vampire released their full-length self-released debut album Vampire Ecstasy, in 2004 and released one online single, "Death Folder", in 2005, which is available on their website. A few tracks and remixes on compilations have appeared throughout their early career but they remained active as a live band.
In 2008, the band announced they have been signed to Avex Trax, a major label and at the end of the year, they released a set of three self titled EPs on iTunes. Their second album Zoltank was released on May 5, 2010.
In 2008, Aural Vampire made a musical appearance at Anime Matsuri in Houston, Texas and again in 2010. In 2009, Aural Vampire also made a musical appearance at Katsucon 15 as well as at AnimagiC in Germany. Aural Vampire toured North America in 2010, including a musical appearance at Anime Central.
