Formed in Chicago around the Beatles-era by Hotspot promoter/deejay Carl Bonafede who also managed The Buckinghams (KIND OF A DRAG). The DOE were together for 3 years and put out a few singles which got a lot of airplay for the mere fact that this was the first all-girl band that actually played instruments and sang. Nobody had ever done this before in the rock/pop music genre.
