“ Errol Brown MBE (born Lester Errol Brown, 12 November 1948, Kingston, Jamaica) is a singer and songwriter, best known as the frontman of Hot Chocolate. He has British citizenship by marriage to Ginette and they live in The Bahamas. Hot Chocolate's hits included "You Sexy Thing", "So You Win Again" and "Brother Louie".In 2003 Brown was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to popular music for the United Kingdom. In 2004 he received an Ivor Novello Award for outstanding contributions to British music.
Career
The Hot Chocolate albums were produced by Mickie Most and recorded at the RAK Records. Brown has had a solo career since the 1980s, and achieved music success in the clubs with the 1987 single "Body Rocking", produced by Richard James Burgess.
Brown owns some National Hunt horses, including the winner Gainsay, both at the Cheltenham Festival and Grand National.
