“ The discography of Japanese recording artist Gackt consists of eight studio albums, one live album, six compilation albums, one extended play, and forty singles. In 1999 Gackt signed a recording contract with Nippon Crown. With the success of his first release, extended play Mizérable, which peaked at number two on the Oricon albums chart, and two his singles "Mizérable" and "Vanilla", managed to establish his solo career and sign further singles and albums deal.Gackt entered the 2000s with the two consecutive weeks releases of singles "Mirror" and "Oasis", while in April 26 was released his first LP album "Mars", which peaked at number three on the charts.
Gackt holds the male soloist record for most top 10 charts singles as of July 18, 2011. He had tied the record with Toshihiko Tahara on August 2010 who had his last Top-10 Single over 19 years ago.
